fuck the LSAT

fuck fuckitty fuck fuck.
Right of passage…..

For what it's worth, 9 times out of 10, the LSAT will not beat you, you will beat yourself.

Go in positive, come out positive; stay relaxed, be rewarded. That's the best advice I can give you.
thanks vansmack … i heeded your advice and got a motherfucking 160 on the december test … time to jump in front of a metro car!

irrational suicides wait for no man!!
bad taste suicide jokes aside … anyone here go/went to law school in DC?

I was hoping on georgetown or GW, but i'm thinking more along the lines of george mason / american now …
Why are you going to law school? Granted, lawyers make a lot of money, but they work long hours, have no quality of life (until they're 50 and can't enjoy it), and worst of all, the legal profession is one of the few professions that has a net negative effect on national productivity rather than a positive effect.
I went to court in DC once.

because i want to get a professional degree, and law just makes sense. i'm an analytical person.

unless someone can get me a job with spin/rolling stone ….

Unless it's changed since I took it, most test takers score between 145 and 159. A score of 160 is not a bad score at all.

You can do a lot with a law degree that allows you to maintain a splendid quality of life, and not work the ridulous hours.

It was my law degree that led me to Ben Fong-Torres. It will open doors for you if you allow it.
The legal profession is expanding at an exponential rate. By the year 2030 everyone in America will be lawyers at birth.

25% - 75% of acceptees:
gtown: 167-170
gw: 162-16something

i'll be lucky to get into GW… very lucky…
i went to mason. never bothered applying to any of the dc schools for financial reasons. mason also was geared toward the area of the law in which i wanted to practice.

i believe my lsat was around 160 as well.
A friend of mine got a 163 and was wait listed at Georgetown. She was unwilling to apply to GW though, since it's rather expensive for a not so good school

Watch Law & Order marathons instead.
Is a "right of passage" something particular to those living on the West Coast? Is it the same thing as a "rite of passage", or is it something altogether different?

a friend of mine got around the same score you did, within a couple of points. he didn't get into g'town. he got into GW. he's in his second year and just accepted a job at a firm that will be paying him $2,400/week. so i think you'll probably end up doing just fine.

but then again, he is like 1/8th hispanic, so that may have helped him out.
160 is good enough to get you into uva or william & mary…

georgetown is a great school - but fuck d.c. it's a shithole, in case you haven't noticed.

the best thing about d.c. is the bulletproof drive-thru windows @ taco bell - at least you can be sure the employees won't shoot you.
