Dinosaur Jr.

According to my sources, Dino Jr. is supposed to play on July 11th. When are tickets going on sale or is this misinformation? Thanks.

It's old news, and if you go to dinosaurjr.com, presale tickets are already for sale (no clue if they've sold out).

Yep, they are sold out. How the F did that happen!? Damnit, they weren't even listed on the 930 website or anything damnit!

Well, that's just a "fan club only"-type presale, I think. I'm sure there'll be many more tickets made available when 930.com puts them on sale. Your best bet is to join the 930.com mailing list so you get notice when shows are going on sale. It's almost always a Thursday.

GREAT! Thank you for mentioning the possiblity of a fan sale. That never crossed my mind. I'll keep checking 930 site, on Thursdays. Luckily I do recieve e-mails from 930 concerning concert ticket sales.

Yeah, that was just a limited number of tickets that Dino was selling. They'll be a general public onsale at somepoint. Lots of bands seem to be doing this lately. So if you're a fan, check out the bands websites regularly to get a jump on ticket sales.

Interesting plan. I went with a slightly different variation: I bought 2 tickets for the 9:30 club show, and 2 for The NorVa, and am actually going twice.

If we combined our plans, we could go, like, 4 times.

most times i would never pay $30 for a ticket, and i usually don't like monday night shows, but it doesn't matter when its DINOSAUR MOTHERFUCKING JR

Are these the pre-sale tickets that you have? Are there any available right now for sale or are those sold out?

The presale is sold out for most venues (Norfolk notably is not, if that does anything for you).

presale tickets. and i guess i don't have have them, they are will call. pretty stoked, i've seen dinosaur jr without lou, and each of the members seperately several times, but never all together

I'm an enormous Dino fan, but I don't see a super-quick sellout. If worst comes to worst, and it does sell out, you could always head to Norfolk, which is a Saturday night, and almost assuredly will not sell out.

It is a Central Park show, although I think Broken Social Scene is opening for it, although I have it on good authority that everyone here hates them live.

Seventy four bucks for two tickets. Horry morry! And the fact is, J Mascis plays at the Black Cat pretty much every year and it's not like The Fog have a huge catalog. It's easily 2/3 Dinosaur songs, played with a killer bassist. But of course you gotta be there to see if J and Lou will fight or eyeball each other all night or kiss or whatever. And hey, Murph's kids got to eat too. I hope Lou brings his tapes/loops along. Those were always the creamy highlight of the early Dino shows.
