I am so flippin' sick of pre-sales. A friend of mine is connected to the Warner, and though I had no interest in going, he was telling me that the Sting show was basically completely pre-sold due to three different pre-sales. That's disgusting – only fan club members and AmEx gold card holders can go to shows now?

I have an AMEX gold card, and I don't get any special pre-sales.

I did win tickets to go see Foo Fighters at Black Cat once, but that was cause i'm smart, not cause of my credit card.

I agree, but I was pointing out that the practice is becoming more and more ubiquitous. It could happen for the next….gulp….GBV show. At least we know Pollard would get us tix!

mostly it is just a con to ensure you use the pre-sale, so are forced to pay the service charge. If that is the game that has to be played, so be it.

the sting presale password for the amex cardholders was "amex," not very clever…it probably always is amex. i agree, fuck all these presales. i just enjoy guessing at them

But the password doesn't matter much, as you have to use your Amex gold (or platinum ?) to buy the tickets..So you have to have one to get 'em.

on dc101 they said they are having a presale for linkin park as well. guess what the password is? ok, dont hurt yourself. yup, dc101. (im not the fan, but they surely arent failing to overannounce this one!)
