Brandon and I have quite a fun night planned for this Friday's "We Fought the Big One" post-punk/shoegaze dj night! For starters, we've got Jake Reid of Alcian Blue, aka DJ Sarcastro, with us behind the turntable decks. Woo-hoo! On top of that, we'll also be giving away a few copies of his band's new album, which is slated for a July 11th release through Elephant Stone Records—so get there early! It's a snarling beast of a record and contains some of my favorite songs I've heard all year—believe me, you need to own this one!
As usual, Belgian beer will be on tap and we'll keep the tunes moody & strange for your listening pleasure…
