Is it true that Oasis are a ripoff of the Beatles/Rolling Stones?

You're not worth responding to beyond this, though, so go ahead and have the last word if you want it. Have a nice day. :)
Ha Ha. You responded. You are pathetic!

They have never denied that fact.

I don't think they'd actually go so far as to call themselves rip-offs, would they? But, truth be told, they've got excellent taste in who they rip off, and they do it well. And since the Beatles are gone and the Stones stopped being interesting a long time ago, it's good that we've got Oasis. I've got no problem with them and am still bitter that someone apparently lifted "Definitely Maybe" from my apartment. So basically, no need for any more snark-fests, 'k?

I'm a huge fan. I've got all their cds and a ton of bootlegs. I got tix to see them in Philly. I hope the new album will be great. I heard interviews where Noel has said he likes to pinch parts of other songs and put them in his. I'm not bashing the worlds greatest band. Which I believe they are. I saying that some of their songs are heavily infulenced from bands.
They still fill stadiums around the world like only a few bands can, Chili Peppers, U2, etc…Coldplay is probably at that level now…

They pissed off mainstream America though and thats something you dont want to do…Thats why we dont hear them at all over here while all of their singles go to Top 10 in every other country.

Theyre still the best concert Ive ever seen and I wasnt even that big of a fan when I saw them. I too have tix to the Philly show and I cant wait…
Theyre still the best concert Ive ever seen
really?

wow, I would put them easily in the bottom 5% of concerts I have ever seen

is the lead singer sitting down looking bored while the guitarist plays a solo your idea of entertainment?

Normally Im looking at the guitarist who's playing the solo than the person who is not.

I do wish Liam would pay more attention in times where he wasnt singing, but if the music is there, really doesnt matter to me….
What did they do to piss off America?

I only know them by that one single–Wonderwall–a few years back. It didn't impress me beyond being a fairly well-crafted pop song.

Their arrogance, cancelling concerts, showing up to concerts sloshed and generally thumbing their noses at the American public really didnt rub people the right way.

Youre on your own on Wonderwall. Even though its extremely overplayed, I think its an incredible tune…
