Talk about your Super Secret Shows

I have Volume and the password, but where's the link to the presale? Or am I too late?

Thanks,
Ed
Light satire or ignorance? You insist on making comments about things you know nothing about. Everyone on this board (and their mothers) know you don't like indie/alternative music but that doesn't keep you from acting like a complete knob! Granted, you'd be a very lonely boy if alt-country was the only subject being discussed. I can't wait to read your 'satirical retort'.

And some people still even go to shows by the Rolling Stones, the Eagles, and Motley Crue.

Perhaps you take me too seriously on this thread. My comments were meant to be light satire….though with an element of personal truth.

Most, though not all, rock and roll artists just look plain silly trying to be rock stars into their 50's. Country, blues, and jazz can be a lot more forgiving of a performers age, but rock is usually a younger mans game. People on this board always babble on about such and such band had "such energy." Typically people in their 50's and 60's don't have that kind of energy.
I don't think Gang of Four were ever "rock stars."

I've seen a few "elderly" shows that were excellent. Paul Weller and Mission of Burma spring to mind. Even the Sex Pistols show was quite entertaining in its campiness.

Perhaps you take this all too seriously?
I worship at the feet of the board: So why are they touring? I'm going to this show at your suggestion: No new album to promote? So what's up? …maybe a bad divorce; kids in need of private schooling; why do you still adore 'em?
Indeed…I get the password only to discover the link is no longer on the front page. What to do from here?
I guess we wait for the regular sale. :(
The presale was schedule to run March 30th 10am to 10pm, although I think the link was still up in the morning on the 31st. Don't if it was active then or not. It would appear this be an easy ticket to get selling as there was no instant presale sellout, and tickets were still available on wed for the NYC shows.

Why is the band touring… Well it's a reuniting of the orginial lineu for one. Several current bands are citing Gang of Four as influences. Franz Ferndinand, Bloc Party, etc. There is a bit of Gang of Four lurking in LCD Soundsystem. The Red Hot Chili Peppers has always sung the praises of the band. More politically then the Clash, the spastic guitar rocked by funk inspired basslines set them apart from other post punk bands.
