LCD Soundsystem/M.I.A. poster

what do you think…

I'm probably going to mess with the headlining text, but this is so far my progress…

Just a personal preference — I don't like skulls in posters for bands that aren't heavy metal.

Besides that, I like the disco ball on the electricity string, and I dig the text border.

save one for me.

I haven't bought anything in awhile. My framing backlog is too big.

i picked up a nice handmade s/n silkscreen at the ariel pink/animal collective show at the black cat…no. 1/20. (or was it 1/50???) anyway, i have a stack to get framed now…one from the last GBV show in chicago NYE, one from the most recent wilco show, the arcade fire and another one that i can't remember.

I was messing with the text last night, here's what I came up with…

Is it better than the original?

I also did a poster for the Blood Brothers show at the Black cat, has anyone seen them around town? The LCD SS poster will be sold at the show…

I prefer the original

is the Blood Brothers the only other poster you have done?

No, I just did the Prefuse 73 tour poster…

that was great … gave a great feel for the kind of music-nerdiness that is prefuse

first text looks better to me too.

first one is def more better; the font reminds me of the Arular cover font or at least something MIA would throw up. The newer font just looks cheap

I'm wondering now if it would look better if I put the MIA text in the stencil font…

Is the ball supposed to be splatted on the ground? Kind of has that look. Another for the first text.
