Hey, I was curious who you guys think should be the proper replacement for Pierce Brosnan? Personally, I think it would be too good to be true if Clive Owen was named the new Bond, especially given that the next film will be "Casino Royale" (arguably the grittiest and darkest Fleming novel), and is supposed to mark a stylistic shift in the 007 series…
new 007
Jude Law might be a few years away, but it's his job to lose.
I think it should be Bruce Willis.
Clive Owen
definatly clive owen……….rrrrrrrrrrrr
if orlando bloom could learn how to act he wouldn't be a bad choice either

Steve Earle should definitely play Cooter.

It's too bad Dalton lost the role, as he was, IMHO, the best Bond since Connery. They were thinking of Dalton as a replacement for Connery as far back as '69.
Well, they've had a Scotsman, an Englishman, a Welshman, an Aussie…and even a Mick. I think the next Bond should be an American. What about Matthew Lillard? What about Edward Norton?
If you gotta go Brittish, then why not Ewen Bremner or Robert Carlyle.
Jude Law? No way. He's a wuss. Keanu Reeves could whup his ass.
It's good to see Bond returning to Fleming-authored material. Casino Royale is a great choice, but I seriously doubt they will follow the book in anything but name. Bond has gotten waytoo superhero-like! What happened to films like FROM RUSSIA WITH LOVE? That was a good spy caper. Nothing fantasticly science fictional there.
And why doesn't NASA turn over the operation of it's space launches to SPECTRE? Did you see MOONRAKER? Twenty shuttles launched at once…and not a missing tile! That's a proven success record.
This guy is 37? I'm 37, and he looks 10-15 years older than me.

Interesting choice in Daniel Craig. I've only ever seen him as a bad guy. Good actor. Menacing. I would have preferred Clive Owen, but I understand why he didn't want to do it. You don't want to be pigeonholed.

Don't know if anyone else has read the original novel "Casino Royale," but Owen would be too good to be true in the role for this story. It would be great if the Bond people starting making really gritty spy thrillers again like "From Russia With Love", "On Her Majesty's Secret Service" (the best Bond film imho) and "For Your Eyes Only." And if I was a studio exec, I would pay John Barry whatever he wants to do the music (the music has been pretty consistently dreadful since he left).

Robbie Williams!
Seeing as we seem to be picking people who can't act.

I read somewhere that Demi Moore is filming a movie as a female 007, I don't remember where though.
Brosnan 'will stay on as 007'

Pierce Brosnan will play James Bond in the next 007 film, co-star Dame Judi Dench has revealed
The 51-year-old will reprise his role as the suave secret agent in Casino Royale, she said.
'Despite the fact that everyone on the face of the Earth has been tested as his possible replacement, Pierce will be doing it again,' added Dench, who plays M in the movies.
'It will be announced come the summer.'

The soundtrack music ought to be done by the James Taylor Quartet, IMHO.
No true Bond fan would say that…Steve Earle could play a better Bond than Dalton did.
