The Finger Seen Around The World
to be "seen around the world", a prerequisite would be that the world actually watched the golden globes… and who watches award shows anymore?
Seeing as the Golden Globes are presented by the Hollywood FOREIGN Press Association , I'm guessin' it's seen and covered around the world. And besides that it was going to be seen in China for the first time this year.
Regardless, there was surely an alert sent out last night so that a certain segment of the US population could be sure to register indignation about that obscene gesture that scarred their precious children for life. It's only a matter of time until a fine is levied, court challenges are mounted, etc…

hahah yeah - well actually in his version he wanted it stripped down and instead of some really cool batmobile, he wanted to use some bus. needless to say he got canned from the film :) it was much more funny coming out of his mouth.

Kate Winslet took two golden globes to the show, and brought home two more.
Definitely only the uptight USA that will have a problem with this… I mean, the actual award at the NME awards is a one finger salute, and if a band as mainstream as good 'ol U2 can dig it, so should your average soccer mom, imho.
