The Comprehensive Music collection -- the A's

I've seen them live, amazing show…
are you serious?!? i can only assume you are chilean and roughly 55 years old. unless they did some sort of reunion show in the past 35 years.

those two aguaturbia albums are mindblowing, simultaneously way ahead of their time and yet tied to their era. sort of like a cross between jefferson airplane and black sabbath, interjected with beautiful chilean traditional folk elements. every time i play them at the velvet lounge, people always ask me what's playing.

and most people here probably think i make this shit up…
you should at least get the single of althea and donna's "uptown top ranking," only one of the greatest pop songs ever.
the amps!
Air Miami – Me Me Me

One of my favorite LPs. And if you can track down the "Airplane Rider/Stop Sign" 7" that's a big bonus. Great stuff.
Joseph Arthur
Arthur Alexander
Louis Armstrong
American Music Club
Federico Aubele
Afghan Whigs - Gentlemen
All Parallels - EP
Ambulance LTD - LP
And You Will Know Us by the Trail of Dead - Source Tags & Codes
Ash - Intergalactic Sonic 7"s
At The Drive In - Relationship of Command

This was on my original list, but I swapped it for The Art Of Noise. Highly recommended.

I'm Chilean, yes, thank you for asking, but Im not 55 years old, they did one reunion concert a few years ago, probably 2003, and it was great, I went with a friend visiting from Paris and at the end of the show he was cheering and applauding like mad men…I got my Aguaturbia T-shirt that night :D
afghan whigs - 1965 (I think this covers the whigs!)
alice in chains - nothing safe
audio explorations - action reaction
autolux - future perfect

good call on the air miami, bearman. great pop record!
Seconded.

I'd also like to add American Analog Set.

Adam Ant - Antics in the Forbidden Zone
Alice Cooper - Greatest Hits
The Association - The Essentials
Astrud Gilberto - Finest Hour
The Avalanches - Since I Left You
Great pick with Astrud Gilberto, but wouldn't that go under "G"?

Alabama 3 â?¢ La Peste

Alejandro Escovedo â?¢ With These Hands, Gravity, Thirteen Years, A Man Under the Influence, The Boxing Mirror, Bourbonitis Blues. I consider any and all of these to be essential.

Appliance â?¢ Six Modular Pieces

A classic. Get it if you don't have it.
atomic rooster - death walks behind you
a certain ratio - to each…
