agreed, CDs have never worked - not once have i gotten any music out of them. on top of that, they have many other drawbacks: no crackling, no audible scratches, no loss of fidelity after a few dozen listens, no warping, etc.
oh yeah: :P
seriously tho, it is absolutely fair to prefer vinyl over CD - plenty of reasons to do so (better dynamic range, more tactile experience, "warmer" sound, etc) - but you can't dismiss CDs out of hand like that.

i sure can dismiss them, a pointless format that loses its "data" in 10-15 years? you can retort all you want about cds you own that still work from 10 years ago, i have plenty that dont and i pretty anal about keep them nice. so yeah im dismissing it

Look what I found on dusted:
"Drunkdriver
?Knife Day? b/w ?January 2nd? 7?
(Fan Death)
More agonizing shred from the Michael Berdan Blues Explosion, sounding more like a torture session than a rock band in all the ways that would improve upon that lazy description. Kristy Greene produces riffs that transmute noise and borderline industrial chaos into early metal and heavy blues. The three vectors of performance in the band (guitar, vocals, and drums) are intense enough on their own to blast one another apart, but Drunkdriver is figuring out a balance to their sound that most extreme rock/noise artists never find. They?ve learned a language that works for them, and it will be exciting to see how far it can go. 500 copies.
