I'm interested in getting to know local area bands better, what's the best way to find out about them?  Can anyone recommend any websites? Or something else?  Thanks!!  :D

Go to Ft Reno in the summer.  Three local bands every Monday and Thursday absolutely free.

Some local bands I'm enjoying: the Shirks, Police & Thieves, Imperial China, Statehood, Benjy Ferree, Title Tracks.

I enjoy Imperial China, Title Tracks and the Shirks as well. Jukebox the Ghost, too, but I think they've relocated to Philly?

I enjoyed the hell out of Snack Truck the one time I saw them. They're from Richmond which is close enough.
