Caps vs Kings of Leon

Wow, this board must really hate KoL as the whole roll call thread got wiped out (I think?).

Hope it wasn't because I asked about buying a ticket there…

P.S.  I pulled up a floor ticket on TM this morning and bought it.
i like them, just not as much as i used to and they arent the friendliest bunch.

death, sounds like you're on the fence so…

when was the last time you saw KOL. i'm skipping tonight b/c i just saw them and dont think this show will top MSG or DAR, but that's just me.

do you feel like guarding your spot all night. most people will have floor tickets and they will get there early - i'd be surprised if there were people already in line. but then again, they still have tickets available.

how much do you like hockey. most importanly where are the seats.

Did any of y'all ever think KOL would become as big as they are, back when they first started?

The shit always floats to to top, doesn't it?

I wouldn't characterize them as shit, but don't think they are very good and their popularity surpises me.

Have you heard that "sex on fire" song?  I don't know how anyone could seriously sing that line over and over again with a straight face.  One of the worst lyrics ever.

that would be my bad.  that's what i get for trying to moderate when i first get up.  clicked the wrong button.  sorry 'bout that, folks.

friendly reminder:  the only place for ticket requests and such is the ticket exchange.  the only shows allowed are imp shows.  thanks!

never had hot sex before? couldnt help myself  :D
Julian's got this one right. The Caps are done for, so go enjoy KOL, check out their new song they played in Toronto, and laugh at how pitiful D.C. sports teams are when you get home.

My wife likes to sing "your snatch is on fire" which is twice as funny.

Um, yeah, that's all I'm going to say about that.
kings of leon are my newest ace in the hole in the argument that fame and fortune ruins decent musical acts time and time again.

also, if the Capitals were playing Kings of Leon, i think KOL would win 3-1.
So glad my wife listens almost exclusively to Brazilian music.

Id go to the game in a Rangers jersey. Theyre sure to be ending the series tonight. Or just dont bother and enjoy KoL. Playoff hockey is always exciting and if you have good seats its worth it to check out the game. If the seats suck - go see KoL.
i'll put $100 on the Caps. any takers?  :P

oh just the game, they wont be coming back 3-1.
Show was awesome last night even though it appeared no one was there early in the night.

you were saying?  sorry, i couldn't hear you over the din of 25,000 caps fans going ballistic inside the verizon center… :D
and there were 10,000 other fans cheering at one of the best concerts I've been to in a LONG time…and yes, I am a big KoL fan, ever since their first show at 930 many, many years ago. I guess the cool kids were elsewhere, leaving us with amazing energy from fans and band, lots of good manners and plenty of exurberance wayyy beyond the subtle hipster head-bobbing at concerts in other venues. Very sweet!
So I went to the show. Walkmen were great, and the Kings were even better. It really re-kindled my love for them as now I can't stop listening to them. I got there close to 8 and was literally able to walk right up to the rail. I managed to get a spot in front of the bassist, the tunes were great. I was blown away at the power of ONE song being played on the radio. It was fun, I had a blast and it was even better to be getting texts from friends telling me the score of the Caps game. I didn't realize this many people disliked the Kings, I hated hearing people scream in the audience to play songs. Dicks, man.

And I'm holding my breath for the Caps not to fall under that cursed DC team thing. If they can get to the Conference Championships I think it'll be a good season. If they lose in the 2nd round again, I'll be disappointed but nowhere near as disappointed if we lose to the FUCKING RANGERS

VARLAMOV WILL DO IT!!!
