but don't underestimate hollywood's ability to stoop lower: just read that miley cyrus is the front runner to play the female lead.  she hasn't even auditioned and she's the lead candidate. no, i'm not making this up.

if they remake sixteen candles - then i will really be sad. jake was so dreamy :D

Chace is playing Kevin Bacon's part - not Chris Penn's.

And I would argue that Nate Archibald (Chace's character) is third behind Dan Humphrey and Chuck Bass as far as male airtime on Gossip Girl.

off topic, but once swayze dies, wait for the ghost, dirty dancing, roadhouse remakes . . . . with jamie foxx playing the lead in all three.  because he's bankable.

They're also remaking one of my favorite movies, "Drop Dead Fred" with the perpetually unfunny Russell Brand. I cry.
