we'll soon be starting a betting pool: which boardee will end up on stage with sharon?  side-bet: ixkpd-bk & me vs. the field.

looks like the field won :D

two boardees on stage last night - not bad! (edit: two boardees that i recognized, at least - maybe some of the lovely ladies on stage are boardees too?  OMG, i just had a flash of that last one who did the samba ass-shake thing…  :o)

the show was absolutely epic.  might be my favorites NYE ever.  sj&dk were on fire, i really enjoyed the openers (despite the lead singer looking like a cross between a chicken and a goat), the club staff were amazing as always, we got champagne (not sure if folks on the floor got any), we all walked out of there on a high, i could go on…

kosmo: excellent job dj'ing!  we got there early to get balcony rail, so we heard everything.  2 people in our group commented that the music totally added to the vibe.  if anyone else was there early, you might have seen the missus and i making fools of ourselves by dancing in the middle of the empty floor.  given the groovy toons and the amount of space available, it felt like the right thing to do at the time :D

thank you, 930.  what a wonderful & fun way to ring in the new year.  feel free to book the dap kings every NYE.  me & my crew will be there.
Three boardees, I think.
haaa
the one guy on stage dancing…
was teaching me how to do the 'chicken feed'  lol.

also sharon and the dap kings were hanging out at the club after the show
got my pic with her.
she's soooooooooooooooo short and super nice
  :D

that was my first time seeing them and i really enjoyed them.

sweets i saw you and the missus dancing away on the floor and i saw joe "taking it easy" on the stage lol

it was a good night but i wont make the mistake of using the downstairs coat check again. that wait was insane.

lol @ the description of the openers lead singer - chicken & goat  :D

Kosmette agrees with this sentiment, they do provide a most excellent way to ring in the New Year.  Would like to hear the group do a proper arrangement of Auld Lang Syne
