Yet Another List

Hey, if they can put San Franscisco, why not DC?
i agree with you on that one, "San Francisco" seems like an odd choice

Don't think they included anything like Denali National Forest either of parts of Canada. Personally, I'd love to visit and jump in one of the hot springs in Antartica but that's not on the list either and it's quite out of the norm.
well, they had Banff National Park in Canada and "Antarctic Cruise" with the hot springs on there

i liked how they included some more not-so-obvious choices, like Santorini over some of the bigger-named Greek islands … anyway, a fun time-waster … anyone else have "1000 Place to See Before You Die"? it can be a little cheesy, but it's another fun read

Yeap, you're right. (I was going from memory on a quick glance through.)

I agree with you about noting Santorini over Athens or Mykonos, the more common Greek attractions.

I'd have to include the Nazca Lines in South America on my list. Also, a few crop circles in the English countryside during crop circle season which is right about now. Of course, helicoptor rides would be required for both for viewing.

Also, I really want to spend an entire day in the South of France at a vinyard or two and then spend a few hours dining afterwards.
I would've prefered Mepos.

23 - and im still pondering whats wrong with the inclusion of SF. I lived in that area most my life, and while DC maybe should be included because of the Capitol, SF has plenty of history and breathtaking sites there as well. From Chinatown to Golden Gate Park, the Japanese tea gardens, the mission district, Haight-Ashbury, and of course the Castro (hell there is still so much more), I dont think DC holds a candle to that great city.

Hell New York doesnt either, and I live here now. But there is nothing like the NYC skyline that I see out my window every night.

just my $.02
I'm sure that Hoya will agree with me that the inclusion of SF isn't a problem, it's more the omission of a few other North American sites. Besides, they could have at least entered a particular aspect of SF rather than the entire city like they did for most of the other locations. Would have made it more detailed and interesting to read. For example, the entire city of Paris is fascinating and contains lots of charm but they choose to note specific sites rather than the entire city.

yeah, exactly, it's not really worth picking nits here, but "San Francisco" just seemed a bit out of place among all these "wonders" of the world, nothing against the city at all, i'm sure it's incredible

jag, i didn't realize you were so into supernatural conspiracy stuff, were you our secret chemtrail enthusiast?

HELL, NO!!!

Though I know tons of stuff about them and have even seen many of the oily dripping rainbow producing ones, I don't know where I stand on the issue and I really don't feel like having that kind of debate in here. Believe me, there's a lot you don't know about me. :D
