I have no idea who this band is, but I'll sure be glad when the show is over, so I don't have to look at the guy's picture anymore each time I come to the 9:30 website.

Also, some people were laughing at Vampire Weekend playing DAR, but what about Owl City? Who the fug is Owl City?

So THAT'S who that is?  I couldn't believe my ears when I heard a new albeit shitty PS song on the radio.  God, that guy has Gibbard's voice and precious wordplay down pat.  Looks like lawsuit time…

City and Colour aren't THAT terrible. I mean, he sucks, but I'd rather listen to him then Alexisonfire if I had to choose.

I am fascinated by this guy/band.  Suddenly I'm seeing them everywhere without even looking.  New single pierces through pop radio, CD on display at Nordstroms of all places, and now they're headlining DAR.  Did they win an indie lottery or something?

I was wondering the same thing… Is MySpace still able to break bands this big?  Was there a song on some TV show/soundtrack?

So how was the City and Colour show?  Was it packed? Was the stage in it's regular spot?

Sold out. PACKED. About 300 people queueing outside when I got there at 6.30. Lots of crowd singalongs etc etc.
