How was last night's show?? How long was the show?
Can you expect basically the same show every night or do they switch their setlists?

It was the exact same thing each night last year down to the stage banter.

I wouldn't be surprised, but that's pretty lame.

Yeah, it was lame. I caught two shows and noticed it; heard the same thing from people who caught more.

That's pretty galling consider they specifically sell multi-night packages.

Every time they've done multi-night stands, it has been the EXACT same show, night in, night out. Don't assume any different, we do every year, and we're wrong every time.

uh, what in the article makes you say that, azag? there's not mention of a setlist, and only one song is mentioned. for all that we know, half the show could have been b-sides and rarities.
same visuals? yeah, there are only so many ways to set up this kind of a band. and once you've spent all that money on those fancy pixel-boards, ya gotta get your money's worth outta them.
i'm willing to give TC the benefit of the doubt. their set a year and a half ago at MPP kicked ass.
the article's report about the over-powering bass and high volume levels is disturbing. if true, i hope they fix it.

The volume was just as brutal at the club last year. For some odd reason, I guess they like it that way. And yeah, I guess I was jumping to conclusions re: setlist. And the setup does sound like what one would expect for TC.

yeah, well that was me playing devil's advocate. i'd happily bet that i can guess 90% of the setlist… sigh.

Wow, you guys throw around things like "lame," and "same old same old," and they even repeat the stage banter? And yet you still go? I honestly don't understand it.

I wouldn't call that a ringing endorsement, either.

great show, the missus and i thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. they played their "hits" (performing fan favorites - imagine that!) as well as a few surprises - the parliament/funkadelic mix was fun :) they had a new female vocalist that i've never seen before. seth jumped in on percs for "heart is a lonely hunter", otherwise that song was good ;D
the shows are being shot for a DVD. they only have 3 cameras, but they're moving them every night so they'll have 15 angles to choose from when editing.
edit: the bass was obnoxiously loud for the first song, but they got it under control thereafter. we were at the upper bar/balcony (got a stool and spent the evening there), and the bass was shaking the bar and creating ripples in our drinks.

They say this everytime they do a multi-night stand, and never a DVD. :/
Good show, glad we passed on seeing more then one on this tour since they're still doing a carbon-copy setlist nightly.

We got bored and left during the first encore on Friday night. I hardly ever leave shows.
I'm done paying to see them after about half a dozen shows or more; the last two have been free.
They are a great band, but very predictable as has been mentioned here. I really want to see a DJ set, but unfortunately I had to miss the one last month. Does that happen at ESL more regularly than I know of?
Edit: That article hit the nail on the head with the 'listless' comment. I noticed the crowd was dead (on a Friday!?!) from the very beginning, and the band didn't seem to have much energy either, except maybe the bassist.
