World Cup 2010

almost as bad as the officiating at USA-SVN and BRA-CIV: the quality of announcing.  some of their anecdotes and attempts at cutesy humor are down-right painful.  personally, i prefer to keep my sports and my dad humor separate.  "a goal by shambalala - now there's a name just waiting to have a song written for it!".  ugh.

on the upside, they dropped the "ONE GAME CHANGES EVERYTHING" tag-line after the second day of the tournament.  gawd that was annoying, and you could hear that the european announcers weren't nuts about having to say it every 5 minutes.

south american nations (Arg, Bra, Uru, Para, Chile) - correct me if I'm wrong- have a record of
8 wins and 2 ties in 10 matches so far and have only conceded 4 goals.

All five should go through…

very impressive. gutted for the african nations though
South Africa!! wahooo!!
Dissapointed in Argentina today… Veron is a disaster.. a one man wrecking crew…

NO ideas.. little use of the wings which was the way to play this one.. Clemente Rodriguez my favorite player today and he surely wont start against Mexico

Messi needs to start putting the ball in the back of the net or Argentina is going nowhere.. Call an exorcist urgently!
not looking good for the US right now.  england up 1-0 - US missing too many opportunities (even though one goal was discounted that should have been a goal)
x.x Im not even watching the game and Im stressing out, those limey pricks are up 1-0! We need another 3, errr, 2 goal half!! USA USA USA USA USA USA USA USA USA
WOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! USA!!!!!!!!!!!!!
AMAZING
Im about to cry at work LEZGO USA!!!
fucking brilliant ending…amazing.
unreal
whoa! really got into the USA game and yelled the goal so loud my 7 month old baby freaked!

yeah, it was a pretty emotional one  ;D
The television ratings have been through the roof too, even with the early morning West Coast starts.  This is great for US soccer.

Cool, but the calling it 'The World's reaction' really waters it down. Various bars in the US and Lyon, France hardly equate to the world and just feeds into the stereotype of America being self centered.
calling it america's reaction isnt proper either
I mean, they aren't trying to literally mean "the world". It just seemed like the most appropriate title for the video since it wasn't just American bars featured.
