Hey U St. Hall bookers

Someone had to start this thread; same rules as "Hey Seth" apply.
Does Whycontrol even read this board anymore, though? Haven't seen him posting in forever.

Lindstrom?
Booka Shade?
Gui Boratto?
Rusko?
Kode9?
Trentemoller?
Mouse on Mars?
Richie Hawtin?
Squarepusher?
Flying Lotus?
Oh yeah and that Chapterhouse/Ulrich Schnauss bill
rusko is the only name i don't recognize there, but for all others you have a heart-felt +1 here.  great list of acts, azag.

what's this venue like? i've never been.  good for electronic acts, i take it?
Squarepusher would surely be a 930 booking, no? I'd go to most of those listed.
I dunno.

Last time he was here in '04, didn't he play the BC? I'm guessing demand for him has dropped since then.

Sweetcell, here is a good description of the venue and it's sound system.

OMG i'm in love.  the place looks (and by all accounts, sounds) awesome.  can't wait to see what DJs & electronic acts they get in there.

this is a really cool development for DC.
I imagine Ritchie Hawtin would also be a 9:30 booking.

And didn't Booka Shade play at the 930 back in May? How well attended was that?

Also, +1 for all of the acts listed.

Especially Gui Boratto, Chapterhouse, and Mouse on Mars.
Not very.  This room would have been a perfect fit.
lindstrom……… ;D
would be awesome
I went last Tuesday and last night, in love with that system. It's feckin' uuuuuge. Rusko's up in Baltimore in 2 weeks and Will was talking about getting Boratto, the best way to keep up is to follow their Twitter page. Nadastrom did a free show there last night and they have their innagural weekly party coming up on Friday "Red Nights" I think its called. Its up on Facebook.

Highline Ballroom, NYC

hey U St. Hall bookers?!?!?!?

edit: his myspace page states "Apr 27 2010 8:00P  Tba Tba, Washington DC" so maybe you're already on it?  then again, the NYC date is wrong so that page isn't an authoritative source…
another great booking for the USH:

free, too… too bad i'm out of town.
Man, if I didn't already have Spoon tickets, I'd be at that. Love Ancient Astronauts.
man, if i wasn't at Groove Armada in NYC, i'd be at Ancient Astronauts too.  life is a long series of choices…
I actually would've picked Ancient Astronauts if I had known before I had gotten a Spoon ticket. Seen Spoon, really great, but never seen Ancient Astronauts, which is a fabulous record. Oh well!

Ancient Astronauts will also be playing at Eighteenth Street Lounge on Fri. 3/26, along with Ursula 1000.
Chad Hugo from the Neptunes DJing on Thursday night, their website is officially up as of yesterday in case you missed it.

groove armada proved to be a very respectable consolation for missing AA.  show was really really good, bordering on excellent. i was expecting something more along the lines of house & electronica, instead got a full band doing electro-pop. place was hoppin', literally - the floor at webster hall is a total springboard. and yes, they had frikken LASERS.
fyi, will and jesse will be doing most of the booking, but i'll be doing the occasional show there (of course, anything off-the-wall that you notice).
That's awesome. There are a bunch of acts that would be too big for the Velvet or a house/warehouse space that other venues around here wouldn't touch.
