Aww fuck it, I'm gonna have a party.
I went to the 'Lucky" show in Brooklyn. It was incredible. I can't wait for tonight!

They didn't do Popular. What a bummer. What were all those other songs they played? I did recognize the Depeche Mode song. Pussy music.

So where did you plagiarize this from? Because even I know Nada Surf has a covers album out..

HA! He went to the show….
Do we agree that those cover songs are pretty pointless?
Who in the right mind would cover Kate Bush?

Just because he went, doesn't mean he didn't lift his "review"

That was Doug Gillard, formerly of GBV and a host of other bands, on second guitar. Thought I recognized him from somewhere.

Also Maxwell
I liked it
And I'm pretty sure Sawyer just plagarized himself from the last time Nada Surf played in town, but just added the Depeche Mode reference…

Nobody wants to hear Popular. If they play it once or twice a year, that's fine, but hopefully not at my shows. There are just too many awesome songs the band has available to waste on a song only the fairweather fans want to hear.
I was pretty meh on the new covers. I think Enjoy the Silence was a nice effort, but the other ones, I didn't really care for. If they're gonna play covers, where the hell is There is a Light That Never Goes Out?
Earned a new found respect for The Way You Wear Your Head. And the band was just red fucking hot all night.
10 out of 10. As awesome as always. And they played Hyperspace. I have nothing to complain about.
Anybody see any tapers?

Being at a Nada Surf show where they play Popular would be as amazing as being at a Wilco show where they didn't play Heavy Metal Drummer.
I would actually like to hear Popular live. I don't think I ever actually heard that song until after I had owned Let Go and The Weight is a Gift. So for me, it's like a lost rarity.

I'm in the same boat as you, but I'd still rather not hear it.
