Are they really big enough for the club?
Seems like a different venue would be better.

I can't recall if it was sold out when they were here in 2000.

i think they have enough "where are they now" hipster buzz to easily fill the 930.
the above message says "9 american towns". not sure if DC would be part of those 9… it's on the bubble, but not certainly a shoe-in. i certainly hope they come to town. i'll definitely be catching at least one show. joe will probably attend all nine.
i wonder if by "american" they mean USA only, or north american. methinks montreal and toronto would have been on the itinerary, possibly vancouver too. or maybe they're hitting the states for a cash-in nostalgia tour - get ready for $50+ tickets! </conspiracy>

pretty sure they sold out the 930 club on 3/04/03. it hasn't been a decade off. not sure what they are talking about. i'm excited, but it's going to be a huge pain in the ass to get tickets, i'm sure.
i wonder if they're actually going to do west coast shows this time.
i don't think the show in 2000 was sold out. i had a friend call me the day of asking if i wanted to go (and he went), but i couldn't because i had to work (and was already at work when he called).

Very nice.
Club show would be ideal but this would easily be worth a trip to NYC.

the shows in 2003 were still <$15.
$20-25 absolute max. calling it now. wouldn't surprise me if they were $15-18.

You think Skinny Fists is accessible? Even with all those samples and its sprawling length?

I guess I was wrong about the demand to see them live.

i agree that lift your skinny fists is the best one overall. i love GYBE and am very excited by this news. it always amazed me that they got as big as they did. i don't know any other bands who write sprawling, morose 20-minute epics that have been accepted by the mainstream.
i saw the 2003 tour in baltimore and dc. they played a freemasonry temple in baltimore. black dice opened both shows. i don't recall the 930 show being sold out, but it was pretty packed.
no way are tickets going to be $30. maybe $15, $18 tops.
