Did anyone try getting Roger Waters tickets?

Yeah…Richard being gone does indeed change the reunion dynamics quite a bit. He was pretty special.
In similar news, I'm actually considering paying $200 to see Neil Young.  Someone please talk me out of this.

He's not even playing with Crazy Horse.

"Rock icon Neil Young will hit the road for his first solo concerts in many years on the Twisted Road tour, which begins on May 18th and continues through June 8th. As an even rarer treat for fans, Young will play solo in several of the region?s classic theaters, offering a program of his classic songs along with the special privilege of hearing brand new, as yet unrecorded songs for the first time. British folk legend Bert Jansch will open the shows."

you're special . . . for $200.

A month later, Waters is playing in Philly for two nights with a 5 day gap in between his NJ and Philly show. So I'm guessing a 2nd night could be added in DC for that timeframe.

make that three nights in philly - third night just announced (nov 11 - Remembrance Day/Armistice Day/Veterans Day!).  should be really easy to get a cheap ticket in philly.  there is a presale for the third show, PM me if interested.

looking more and more unlikely that DC will get a second date.  first show isn't sold out yet.

Agghhh, I want to PM you but I am on a waiting list for DC that will automatically bill me if I get a ticket.
3rd show presale starts tomorrow (thurs) at 10 am, just lemme know.
So I just snagged some tickets  for DC (cheap seats). Can't wait! Waters better not lip sync.
so ya
thought ya
might like to
go to the show?

i have a line on some great tickets - sixth row, section 100 or 111 (in other words, center ice).  they're slightly below face.  i'm looking for someone to go in on them with me since i need to buy the pair.  PM if interested but don't wait, i'm not the only one interested in them… they won't last.
we shall be close in the seating arrangements.    :o

i'll wave and hold up a lolcat sign or something.
but we'll be meeting tomorrow at freefest, right?  so i'll recognize you at the verizon center.  great, just great!
how much sweetcell?
nevermind…

from chicago show:

"Not one mention how most people booed when Roger sang, "Mother, do you trust the government?" or how songs with the strongest political messages plastered on "The Wall" met little applause."

"Roger Waters' a legend. Nobody's going to deny that. The problem that I have is: Behind the Eisenhower war and hunger quotes, pictures of impoverished children, and Mercedes-Benz logos dropping as bombs is $145 concert tickets, $45 concert t-shirts, $25 concert programs, and $9 beers.

Don't get me wrong, Waters' and all his theatrics was worth $145. However, the guilt, anti-establishment message, gets lost in all the other inflated prices."
like i said, just below face :)

edit: seriously?  one blog entry, and you're out?  i can find you 10 bloggers that will tell you it's the greatest show evar, if that helps.
well Gilmour won't be there, so yeah i'm out…

enjoy comfortably numb without him!  I wonder how it would sound…
Actually, Gilmour is appearing for at least one show.
the solo for comfortably numb is being handled by dave kilminster (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dave_Kilminster).  definitely not gilmour but a respectable replacement.

gilmour will almost certainly not be at this show.  he prefers not to travel much these days, so it's pretty certain that he'll be at one of the UK shows.
That's what I thought to, but a lot of fans are talking as if it is going to be at one of the US shows. I can't wait for the D.C. show. If anyone is interested here are some excellent quality videos from Chicago.

I was thinking Gilmore would show at one of the UK shows as well.  If he does do one of the U.S. shows, you have to imagine it will be NYC or LA.  The one thing that we do have going for us is that they may find some significance in the date 10/10/10.
Lemmy has a brother?
