rolling stone magazine, issue 107 (june 24), "up all night with lcd soundsystem", p. 72, third column, describing the wild backstage scene after lcd soundsystem have finished a gig at Terminal 5:

Soon (Murphy) is in a loud tete-a-tete with a black, mohawked guy named Ahmad, whom Murphy first spotted years ago in a DC club crowd. "He was way heavy then, and he goes up front, and he's just dancing like crazy and we were like 'Holy shit, this dude rules,'" says Murphy. "We brought him backstage and he's been with us ever since."


to think that we knew him before he rose so high…

finally . . . going to so many shows makes sense.  azag is undercover as well, i'm sure.
