We'll try to be in the usual spot – if we get there about 9:30, it can be hard to stake it out. We're in arrival time discussions now. ;) Why oh why so many sold-out Monday shows these days.

attending….one can only hope that Blood on the Wall is better than the band that they played with last time they came to the club, the Tall Boys.

Haven't seen Blood on the Wall live, but their "Awesomer" LP is very solid - one of the better Pixies riffs in recent memory. Probably worth it to arrive early.

Oh, gawd…i remember them. They were horrible. Perhaps I'll take my time getting to the club tonight. YYY's seem to chose some pretty awful support acts. Their show at the Black Cat a few years ago featured a band, the Ex-Models, I believe. Probably the WORST band I've ever witnessed live. They were just shit.

Blood on the Wall's new album Awesomer is super awesome. But I haven't seen 'em live so I don't know man

I'm going. I think I read that they're touring with a 2nd guitarist, which would be key. I can't see how they do Gold Lion or some of the other tracks off the new record with just one guitar player (and no bass).

I'll be there. Just sold an extra ticket to someone at the Washington Post. I took some comfort in knowing the Post only gets one free ticket for sellout shows.

Is it still on? I know some people who just left and they are asking if it's still on regardless of the weather.

Actually, "kids these days" are used to schools and other places closing pretty easily for dumbass reasons (one being the 'threat' of bad weather). I'd say those are the pansies..not the "kids these days."
