Hey Jadetree-
How many tracks does the Burning Brides cd have? I bought a version when I saw them in February, and I know it's been rereleased recently with new art, but I heard it has extra tracks on it. Is that true?

quote:
Originally posted by jadetree:
Lambchop - Mono
Burning Brides - Fal of the Plastic Empire
Eels - Electro Shock Blues
Liars - They Threw Us All in a trench…
Superdrag - In the valley of dying stars

What is on the cover? Is it a picture of the band, or a picture of a skull?

That stinks. I heard the reissue had a few more songs on it. But I guess both have just 10. Always leave them wanting more, I guess…

All in all though, I would hope you would enjoy it.

Can you blame her? You all saw the power of that scarf. It calls to its wearer the love of the ladies AND the fury of the englishmen.

quote:
Originally posted by Fico:
Poor Kurosawa… all she ever wanted was his scarf…

I tell ya, when I first discovered the Dandy Warhols, I listened to almost nothing but their music for about two months. I haven't done that since discovering the Pixies.

Dandy's Rule OK was alternately mellow and psychedelic, Come Down was a wall of fuzzy guitars, and 13 Tales was clean and melodic. I'm really looking forward to the next one which is supposed to be out "early next year." Supposedly, it's got a good beat and you can dance to it.
Think of Godless (swelling, trumpety) versus Solid (witty, vocals-heavy). The lyrics on 13 Tales are especially good. I really love DW and wish more people would take notice of them. Their last show at the 9:30 Club wasn't as crowded as it should have been.
