Crap. I can record streams, andcertainly would have captured this one, had I known…

'zag, have you come across any recordings?  Maybe on dime?
I've been regularly seaching Dime for a recording of this.  I'm really surprised one hasn't surfaced.  Didn't anyone capture the stream?
I have a fantastic recording of one of the London shows that I acquired from Dime months ago but that's it.

Ummm……
Yeah, I can do that.
Cool.  ;)
Here are the mp3s, the flacs are out there as well:  http://www.megaupload.com/?d=FPZYICRQ
Flacs, you say?
Would you happen to have a link?

Are they flac rips of the same stream or a different recording?
Because a flac rip of a lossy stream doesn't make much sense.

not true.  a flac recording of the stream, whether the steam is lossy or not, would provide a true copy of what the stream sounded like.  an mp3 rip needs to be re-compressed after it is recorded.

another way of looking at it: the stream will typically be recorded as a lossless WAV (or AU, or whatever) and then will be encoded as a flac or a mp3.  flac is still the superior choice.

Yeah, I guess that not encoding to mp3 woldn't degrade the sound more. Just meant that you  can't get rid of the initial lossiness by encoding to flac.

Thanks for the links LGM!
Have not yet confirmed it but this is supposedly a link to a torrent of the whole webcast on demoid.  For some reason site's not loading for me now but I'll try from home later.
