Along with the Dead Milkmen dude and Elden the Painter, I guess they all go in threes…three guys all in their 40's. Much too young to die.

I was going to mention Eldin….
Robert Pastorelli, 49, Actor on 'Murphy Brown' TV Series, Dies
By THE ASSOCIATED PRESS
Published: March 10, 2004
LOS ANGELES, March 9 (AP) â?? Robert Pastorelli, who played the screwball house painter Eldin on "Murphy Brown," was found dead on Monday in his Hollywood Hills home in what the coroner's office said may have been a drug overdose. He was 49.
Lieut. Ed Winter of the coroner's office said Mr. Pastorelli's body was found by his assistant in a bathroom. An autopsy was planned.
"It's a possible accidental death," Lieutenant Winter said, adding that drug paraphernalia had been found.
On the CBS series "Murphy Brown" he played Eldin Bernecky, house painter for the television newswoman Murphy Brown, played by Candice Bergen. Eldin's work never seemed to get done, in part because of his high artistic standards. He spent much of his time meddling in Murphy's life, often dispensing sage advice.
Mr. Pastorelli finished work with John Travolta last month on the movie "Be Cool," the sequel to the comedy "Get Shorty." He played a hit man.
In 1999 his girlfriend, Charemon Jonovich, 25, was found fatally shot, and the police said she had accidentally shot herself. The couple had a daughter.

I wonder, though, why the news about McGeogh took so long to make the press. It happened last Thursday. I must have seen him with P.I.L., according to the timeline. He was in Siouxsie before I was cool enough to listen to them. ;)
