Fucking Falcons? Fucking Colts! A 59 yd FG? Are you kidding me?
Add to it the fact that the Saints and the Falcons both trailed in the 4th quarter. I figured I was on easy street. Instead I'm the only one to lose.
Grumble grumble.

Obviously, some people are not paying attention to Smackie's little insider tips:

A road team? In week 3?
Eliminated in Week 4eros* (Indianapolis)
Shadrach (Indianapolis)
Picks7 - New Orleans
2 - Atlanta
2 - San Diego
Despite New Orleans having the bigger spread, San Diego was the smart pick this week. When they announced that Pierre Thomas was out, I nearly changed my pick, but the Vegas line didn't move at all, so I stuck with them. The San Diego line however, moved 2 points in favor of the Chargers throughout the week…
And in other gambling news, $20 on Greg Biffle paid 10-1 for Smackie this weekend (and others in Vegas who heeded Smax advice). It's too bad it wasn't a Saturday night race, because if you find yourself with a few extra hundered in your pocket in Vegas on a Saturday night, well, that's how stories are created.

i listened to the entire redskins/eagles game on sirius in my car ride home from the beach. it rained most of the way so the seven hours would have been normally boring. it was my first time listening to football on the radio. it was nice. i liked it. and (grumpy old man/hardcore football freak) sonny's commentary was perfect. the end.

listening to the radio is actually how i got into paying attention to football. i got bored of a lot of things in a period of time where i was in the car a lot. listening to football on saturdays and sundays made the time pass a lot faster as it occupied my mind a bit.
that playoff game in green bay in the snow from like 3 years ago was a pretty cool listen.

I hate to sound like a broken record here, but the last 7 people who have been eliminated have a chosen a road team…
Eliminated in Week 5
D.C. Snipers (New Orleans)
the CFL! (San Diego)
jrho (San Diego)
crevers (San Diego)
Picks
4 - Indianapolis
3 - San Diego
2 - Baltimore
1 - Atlanta
1 - New Orleans
I also hit my three team parlay this week (Titans, Bears, Eagles). Couple of good gambling weeks to compensate for my Fantasy team that will almost assuredly go 0-13.

i have a raiders fan friend who has a strict "never touch a raiders game" rule in survival, and its not because theyre his team either. road teams in division are particularly bad picks…

This was an interesting one for me. Tampa coming off the bye week made me hesitate and I rolled the dice with KC coming off their bye week (and Indy in a must win siutation). Cincy was my #2 choice though….

With a little bit of planning in previous weeks, I think this week could be the same.

and like tens of thousands of other survivor pool players, he let out a huge sigh of relief when the bills gave the game away in OT. had buffalo kept it together, it would have been one of the biggest survivor bloodbaths ever… over half the field picked BAL.

If I had to put together a tips sheet for winning, rule #1 would be make a gut pick on Monday or Tuesday. You have all week to change it, and even if you forget to change it, rolling the dice with your gut pick is better than having no pick at all. I have already made a pick for week 8, though it's highly unlikely I stick with it…
Eliminated in Week 7
Got Haggis? (No pick)
Picks
4 - Baltimore
2 - Seattle
So who's left?
In the $100/$5 pool:
Seth
Sweetcell
Venerable
Smackie
And in just the $5 pool:
Gail the Snail (who's board name is not evidently clear to me)
