Jon Hopkins is quite good though do be aware that his music is very laid back. Gentle living room music for adults, one could say. I'd love to attend just for him (not interested in Four Tet) but no way that I can get there.

Jaguar, have you heard the last Jon Hopkins album? It's not laid back at all.

really good show.

jon hopkins played 50 minutes of glitchy soundscapes, with an occasional danceable beat - most notably "Light Through the Veins", AKA the Coldplay intro.  a few moment were self-indulgent and pointless but for the most part it was very enjoyable. 

one advantage of laptop/electronic acts: minimal set up time.  10 minutes after hopkins finished his set, four tet started his.  by the time kieran hit the stage the club was surpirsingly full.  the stage was pulled forward (please don't do that tonight for underworld!!!), i'd say there were 600-700 people there.  FT's hour of techno got the club groovin' and the music flowed much better than hopkins.  as with hopkins, the crowd conserved its energy for the end - FT got a rousing send off, eventually coming back for a 15-minute encore.
