Probably Okkervil River but they're killing themselves off pretty well.
Maybe Spoon.
Oh wait, that's two.
I'll say Spoon since people still seem to like them.

Xiu Xiu immediately comes to mind…but maybe it's just because I tortured myself by listing to their latest album the other day.

For which part? Hating mainstream bands? Or hating obscure hipster-friendly bands? Or the ones in between? I always forgot which definition we use on this board for hipster…

Fully agree with both of these. But I'm not all that sure what our parameters should be. For instance, I want to say
Michael Jackson but suspect that goes on the same list as little Justin and wouldn't count.
Maybe Disco era
Bee Gees. Would that be acceptable? They made Punk so worthwhile!!!

The Beatles. I can't think of a more overrated, under-deserving band.

Joanna Newsom.
Although that doesn't mean I wouldn't do her six ways.
And I guess I sorta understand the appeal, especially now that she's dialed down the down syndrome.
Still, the voice hits me right in the ballsack (and I usually go for that sorta shit!).
Not to be vulgar or anything.
