2010: Year Of The (Blank)

I've been playing with this in my head about 2010. As crazy of a year it was, I've been trying to think of light hearted way of remembering this year.

For example, in DC, 2010 was Year Of The Crepes here. All of a sudden, everyone wants to slang crepes on every corner for some reason. LOL.

year of the shitty hollywood movie

year of the david versus goliath, also known as wikileaks

year of the great global recession

year of the spill

year of the facebook further sinking humans into computer isolation

year of the cat picture post

the  year people went apeshit for crappy food from tweeting food trucks

the year WeLoveDC displaced BYT and Big Yawn before it for the prestigious 930 Forum pimping award

the year it became easy to find cask ale in DC

The year of the original snowpocalypse/snowmagedon and we (most of us here) lived (and suffered through) to tell about it. All others are the snow spawn of our own Mid-Atlantic excesses of Mother Nature's winter dumping.

Plus, if you remember, when it hit, it snowed on top of a good layer of snow and then snowed again afterwards. Take THAT, NYC!  :P ;)

Actually the original Snowpocalypse was in December 2009!  The February 2010 one was Snowpocalypse II…

2010: The year that Kevin Shields got off of his seriously delayed droning ass and actually played some gigs!

Wouldn't that be the 2009 year? or even the 2008 year?

the year that a lunar eclipse fell on the same day as the winter solstice that fell on december 21 which is the same day two years from now that the mayans claim is the end of the calender . . . thus proving that downloading music off the internerd is the root of all evil.
