I know audio taping is generally permitted (with the band's permission), but how about video?

Usually less so but again it is dependent on the band and the club. The club wants to be sure you are not using this for your financial gain and the band sometimes doesn't want to be seen if it is an off night.

You'll get a quicker response about a particular show you want to tape if you post it in the FAQ.They check it regularly and update accordingly.
