OFWGKTA

It sounds like they all stayed home at their cribs in the burbs.

I don't really notice people by skin color, honestly, all I did really notice were there were a lot of short white dudes hahaha
White is a skin color too.

This is my favorite thing that's even been said on this board.

long time lurker on this forum.  i've seen a few shows at RnR and always wondered why everyone thought the place was such a shithole.  Went to the OF show last night, and now I know.

what didn't you like about the place?

i'm definitely not a fan fo the RnR, and am wondering what your complaints are.

The general layout mostly.  Narrow venue with a short stage.  Only way to have a good view is to be way up front, and if you're way up front, the sound suffers.  Not like the sound has been anything to write home about, all three shows have had poor sound (das racist, smith westerns, odd future).  I'm all for a small venue, but make it worth it.  the bathrooms also suck.

Last night security was a bit too aggressive with the crowd. I kept getting jabs for no reason by one of the security guards.

Things that have been nice about the venue? Nice workers up front, and they gave out waters after the show.  that's about it.

I noticed they were short, and everywhere, when my girlfriend pointed out a couple short dudes. Then she was like "I think they're jewish or something? All the short white guys have curly hair"

WHITE ISNT A COLOR
NEITHER IS BLACK; IT'S THE ABSENCE OF COLOR.

Odd Future was there and they are African American.

This is the kind of unity we need these days.

Yes, people from every skin color were represented in the crowd at this show. There wasn't an overbearing amount from any race.
Well the ape race and the kitten race and the amazing race were not well-represented.
Wrong…we already covered that white people were there.

Are there people in the kitten race?

And the Amazing Race is a television program. You're confusing the word "race" because it's a homonym.
See what happens from listening to too much Odd Future?  You start buying into their rhetoric…

to me, it's not so much a "debate" as a personal consideration.  but sure, i think this will always be so.  it's not something i gave much thought to in my teens and 20s; now in my 30s, my perspective is a bit different, as are my sensitivities.

very, very young crowd.  security kept it in check, but even when the crowd surged forward & back, it wasn't really enough to physically move you ;)
in line at sonar, weird mix of people should be a great show
Seeing them at U Hall was enough for me. I almost went to the RNR show but decided to get drunk somewhere else. And you'd be surprised that some black folks have heard of them. LOL.

Case in point: they're young and they're not doing anything shock value wise that is new; they're timing of what they're doing……fuckin' perfect. What got them buzzing is how many young kids like them even if the message is shit like "fuck school" and etc. Good and bad. That crew has potential to be something greater than what they are now. The problem is the hype and the talent doesn't match like it should. Live shows are dope as hell. Some of the music if you hear it…..hit or miss; and this is coming from someone who's downloaded a lot of their stuff and gave quite a few of the albums some rotation (MellowHype is still my fav., BTW).

The comparisons to Wu…..not good. Wu is a whole different time and breed. You gotta let these little dudes do what they do and go from there.
Comparisons to Wu Tang are even shunned by the group themselves. I think it's awful. I heard someone in the crowd say that and I wanted to hit them.
