So no dice on presale floor tickets for the Verizon show. Five of us trying, not one got in.
Same thing happened for Philly show, PLUS none of us got floor tickets in the general sale either.
This is nuts – like Rolling Stones, Bruce Springsteen nuts (although, we always get tix for those shows!).
I'm pretty flabbergasted. I know we can stubhub it, but I have not resorted to that ever.

Already 100 floor seats up on StubHub for $140 and over. Clearly the scalpers have a way in to TM. Ggggrrrrr.

How did Dave Grohl come from a band as incredible and innovative as Scream, to end up making such lamestream music as the Foo Fighters?

He definitely did not play on their best two records.
And did any of you go to that Scream show a few months back? I thought it was horrible. I left after 5 or 6 songs. And i'm no naysayer….I really wanted to like it.

I went and was unfortunately sick so I did leave around 12:15.
I thought they were good but my wife - not a punk fan at all - thought Off! were much better.

that's a good point. As for Walkie's cat-illustrated theory that he's doing it to cash in, one could argue that with his Nirvana links he could have had a following of backwards-capped fans no matter what he did, so he didn't really need to cash in. Which brings me to the conclusion that he actually likes the drivel that the Foos tend towards.

How I know this board has completely changed: there is an eleven page Foo Fighters thread but when Jeff Mangum tickets went on sale and sold out, there were only a handful of posts even making references to the shows in JA.

Only been to one. Up in Smoke tour in 2000. And I have to say it was a shitload of fun.
