Jane's Addiction to release our remix of "Irresistable Force"

My band Mindless Faith did a remix for a contest, and while we got second place in the popular vote, the band selected us as the overall winner. The track will be digitally released by EMI

You can hear it hear, as well as check out honorable mentions, etc. My personal favorite is the Surf rock mix! :D

WDC!
Cool! Nicely done, listening to it now! Hope the new JA album is good..  Can't believe they couldn't work things out with Eric A.
This band is so weak now.  It's embarrassing.
First live record is so good though.  Still listen to that one from time to time.

Yeah, I largely agree with you.  Jane's from 89-91 were just about my favorite live band ever.  Anything since, even the original lineup in '09 has been quite weak by comparison.  Some things age well, but they didn't.

From the couple new songs that have come out, though, I think this has promise.  The new songs are pretty interesting, so maybe they will regain some of their glory.  I never even heard "Strays" but then again I don't think anyone else did either.
the first three jane's records are essential…

then things got ugly.. ;D

reminds me i once saw perry farrell at a free show in front of the white house..i'd forgotten that..

maybe i also saw him dj once..not sure.
My gf saw him dj once…said he was terrible.  I don't know enough about that art form to judge anyone.

But Dave Navarro?  What a joke.  Dude needs to take a break from the salon.  eeeewwwwwww

This one, right?

"I would for you" still sends shivers down my spine.
i still like to watch that old vhs goodie, "the fan's video" soul kiss.  that was true jane's addiction.

yes, this one

good stones and velvets covers on this record.
Great live act back in the day and an amazingly productive band for the short period that they were originally around.

It was all over after they broke up the first time.  The Relapse and NINJA tours were definitely worth seeing but everything else has been an embarassment.
