And t-shirt with jacket? The Miami Vice look went out awhile ago.
It all started with David Beckham, English midfielder for Real Madrid and husband of ex Spice Girl Victoria. His hip look, earring, blond ponytail, jeans and T-shirt under loose fitting jacket became a symbol of soccer chic, copied by players and fans alike.

I think the barometer will be how much interest from European teams he generates.
Word is United already have dibs, but Inter is chasing. don't be surprised if Tim Howard has a hand in this before it's all over.
He's a refugee from Ghana and chose America instead of Europe likely because he can earn more money over here before he turns 18. He can be paid as a professional in the US whereas he can't be paid as a professional until he turns 18 in the EU.
The likely scenario is that he'll play in the US until he turns 18 and MLS will sell him to a European outift to keep them afloat for a few more years (if he continues to improve, he'll likley fetch millions). The good news for US soccer is that he has already played for the US national team so even if he goes to Europe he's stuck with the US National team for life (unless he wants to go back and play for Ghana before he plays in the top US squad, which isn't likley).
I've seen him play with 17-under squad and he dominated. He was less effective against the u-20's be he was still really good.
His contract with Nike is reported to be over a $1M.

That reminds me - Carlos Bocanegra was sold by Chicago to Fulham and Brian McBride is going to make a permanent return to the Premiereship with Blackburn. That makes 3 keepers (Howard, Friedl, Kellar) and 3 position players (adding Captain America over at Shitty) that I can think of so the US game is defintely making strides.

Bocanegra is starting at left back for Fulham today at St. James' Park.
And Saha was no where near the Fulham lineup, not even in the subs so we can assume that he'll be a red devil by the FA Cup matchup this weekend.
I also heard that Fulham are going to replace Saha with Brian McBride right under the nose of Souness, who thought he had the deal all wrapped up. Good move for Brian.

same here…they should have traded him 3 season ago…he didn't have a team mentality, was selfish, combative, and always had a poor attitude. not to mention the mullet.
