Ovie gets Gabby shitcanned

With that chick, one would hope he's getting a hat trick every night.

You're absolutely correct. When was the last time he scored?
Anyone ready for the Pens to own the Caps this evening?

Why? Can you win a Cup during the regular season?

Other than Anaheim being a complete dump.

I knew the Caps couldn't keep up that phsysicality all game, I was hoping they wouldn't wear themselves out…. How many shots did they have in the 3rd? 3? Come on.

I am. I read this sad article about the poor states of both teams [Pens 8th, Caps 10th in East] and riddled with injuries and the 1 star currently playing isn't living up to standars. I sincerely wish we were at the top of our game and they were too. The best regular season games were the ones where we beat them. Over and over again. That being said, I'm excited, hopefully they get back to their winning ways at home and brush off that awful west coast roadie.

Ovie has 16 points in the last 18 games. So he's turned around the slow start.
A loss could help McPhee to pull the trigger on a trade. Rumors of trading for Getzlaf, Iginla, Ryan, Parise are popping around. Could be interesting especially if Semin or Green are in the mix. I like Green but his durability has become an issue.
the pens are such a disaster. have never seen 2 years like this

It looks like the threat of being shipped back to cold weather somewhere has woken up the team, but I still think we don't finish the season with Bobby Ryan.

I just think they're more worried about his concussion, look at Crosby. The reported consussions has shot up in sports in just the past year, look at the NFL. Teams aren't overlooking that anymore, or as much as they used to. I'd rather them sit him out until he's 101% than to put him out there when he doesnt have SUCH a terrible sore. 40 games left, time to really crank it up. They need to wake the fuck up on the road.
One of the most boring hockey games I've ever attended in my life.
I will say this - at least #8 is mixing it up a bit now.  I got so fucking tired of seeing the SAME move to the net every time he came down the ice with the puck.

I only watched the last few min of the 2nd and then the 3rd.  I thought the 3rd was pretty damn entertaining.  Lots of hitting and some great saves from Vokoun.

I liked it, we were incredibly physical. Voukoun was on fucking fire!
"Most bad thing is it's going to be all my career it's going to be like that," Ovechkin said Tuesday, referring to his status as a repeat offender. "My game is play physical, my game is play hard and I don't think it was bad hit, dirty hit. Yeah, I jumped but he don't get hurt. I don't get two minutes. I don't think it was three-game suspension."

seriously, couldn't they have cleaned that up just a little?!?
They don't do that anymore.  Ever seen a Wizards' quote?

As much as I love them, the Redskins quotes aren't any better. So fucking terrible reading a 2 page interview with Clinton Portis.

At least English isn't Ovie's first language… The same can't be said for the Skins/Wiz players.
