Hockey / Cable TV / Nerd Question

I've had it with paying for tv and cancelled for the new year. The only thing that really made it a hard choice was watching Caps games on CSN. Anyone know someplace online where hockey games can be streamed live? If i lived out of market the NHL channel on my Roku would have been a possibility, but they black out local games.
Suggestions???????

Yeah, if you search them out you can find various free streams for games.
There is also the more legal way of buying a season pass for $120 bucks from the NHL.
It also works on various flavors of apps for mobile devices as well.

All the NHL products black out local games…Access only to out of market games.

Ah, the Rangers comment made me think you were in NYC.
The mobile apps do have a few minutes delayed video streaming of highlights beyond goals (hits, saves, fights, etc.) and live radio streaming. While not live video streaming, it's free.
I'd guess Cabletown will have a way for live streaming soon now that they own NBC.

I was waiting to hear your review of those streams. Most often I find those streams barely watchable, especially for a sport like hockey.

Funny you should ask. I watched one more game on CSN last night, as today was the day i'd resolved to cut the cord with Verizon.
My plan was to continue to use them for internet only. When i told them i was going to quit, they offered me the same cable plan i have now (minus the DVR which i am happy to part with) for 75/month including Internet and two HD boxes. So i'm staying. For now.
