does anyone have a setlist from the phoenix show? I am seeing them tomorrow night at the bowery (i think?) or somewhere in the city. Also, any comments on the opening act?
saw them last year with dogs die in hot cars and long-view and that was an excellent show. plus i had excellent company! :)

I have the actual setlist at home, it's amazing what one finds left in a xerox machine :D Here is the setlist from Philly which appears to be the same songs sligthly different order… the * indicates a new song
* Napoleon Says*
* Everything is Everything (acoustic)
* Run Run Run
* Consolation Prizes*
* Long Distance Call*
* Rally*
* Everything is Everything (normal)
* Lost & Found*
* One Time Too Many*
* I'm An Actor
* If I Ever Feel Better
* Funky Squaredance
* Sometimes in the Fall*
* Encore: Playground Love (The Air song from The Virgin Suicides) - Acoustic
* Second to None*
It's possible that the setlist may change as their new keyboard player will have been with the band a couple more days.

saw them last night.. scored a setlist. its pretty much the same stuff. their encore had 3 songs if i recall correctly. i know there were a few other songs mixed in there..
encore had too young, playground love (acoustic as well) and i believe second to none.
and everything is everything was only played once. (not acoustic).
all in all - was a good show. i missed some of larocca, but it seems they were having a good time. had some catchy songs. wouldnt have guessed they were irish.
great crowd for phoenix. the club was insanely packed (sold out show). thomas announced straight away that they'd be playing mostly new stuff. and he was right about that. really liked the new stuff. esp consolation prizes and lost & found.
i think i might have preferred the 9:30 club show, only because the 3 bands were an awesome line up. always wonder where long-view ran off to. that was who i had initially wanted to see!
and when they played in the pitch black, it was pretty cool.

Concretes Can't Catch a Break, Cancel Rest of U.S. Tour
Kati Llewellyn reports:
Poor Concretes! First, as reported yesterday, the dream-pop eight(+/- a few)-piece fell victim to the East Coast gear theft scene, with several guitars, an organ, and a euphonium taken from their locked trailer in New York over the weekend. But the bad news bears don't just steal– they eat white blood cells, too.
Yesterday, the band posted the following message on their MySpace:
"The Concretes cancel U.S. tour dates! Due to illness, The Concretes have been forced to cancel their remaining U.S. tour dates. The band and their management send their apologies to fans who may already have bought tickets or were simply looking forward to seeing the band's new live show, and hope to re-schedule new dates some time in the near future."
According to the band's publicist, it's frontwoman Victoria Bergsman who has fallen ill, and a doctor advised her to cancel the tour.
We hope that a) Victoria makes a full recovery, and b) The Concretes are not too mad at North America to make a return sometime soon.
Canceled dates:
05-18 Seattle, WA - Crocodile Café
05-19 Portland, OR - Doug Fir Lounge
05-20 San Francisco, CA - Great American Music Hall
05-22 Long Beach, CA - Fingerprints (in-store)
05-23 Los Angeles, CA - Troubadour
05-24 San Diego, CA - Casbah

The Datsuns a couple years ago was the most sparsely attended 9:30 show I've seen. You could walk right up to the rail at the front of the stage. If there were 100 people there, then some of them were in the john.
