theres not much in there i wouldnt love to hear, but im hoping for a good amount of black love. if nothing else, those last three tracks. "faded" might be my favorite whigs song.

yeah.. black love is great.. not sure why people didn't get it. guess their 15 min. were up..
I would love to be going to this. Saw them at the old Black Cat for the Gentleman tour and it was so great. Judging from the recent live release, they're still a powerhouse. Pretty envious.
So bummed to be missing this.  :-[ :-[ :-[

i was hesitant to pick it up at first because it seemed to get mediocre reviews at best, but id almost say its their best record. lots of my favorite tracks are on there.

havent been keeping too close an eye on recent setlists, but from what i gather via dulli's interviews and such, most of the catalogue is fair game and they've been switching things up a bit show to show. should be a fun night.
Also would love to hear the last 3 tracks from Black Love. Judging by the recent setlists, we will either get all 3 tracks OR NONE OF THEM  >:(

which is why,..I kinda want to drive to Philly tonite.. or get a ride from someone!

Gentleman and Black Love are my two favorite albums of theirs - Gentlemen holds together better thematically - a true album that can and should be listened to start to finish

Interesting that folks seem to like the last 3 tracks on Black Love the most - for me its #4 thru #7, Blame Etc is one of my favorite tracks of all time

Glad that some other boardies are going - I am also going to see them in NYC next Friday Oct 5 and have a few spare tickets if anyone is interested i picking them up
Lollapalooza appearance was really good.  Much better than I anticipated.

I have another obligation for tomrw, though.
I haven't seen Afghan Whigs since that HFStival where Foo Fighters headlined - 1996?
I'm a Congregation man myself.
I'm going. Congregation all the way. Even stuff from Up In It.
afghan whigs goin' on at 1030.. damn.. going to have to bag david j at comet i think
no encore in Philly last night due to curfew…..they only got 16 songs.
Very bummed I'm going to miss this.  Biggest regret since Jesus Lizard.
I'm going.  I wish it was a little earlier since I am biking 75 miles in the morning.  Anyways, it won't stop me from having an awesome time.  The show at 930 in 1998 remains one of the best I've ever seen.  They did an awesome cover of 'Beast of Burden.'  It was basically a perfect show.  I still have an extra ticket for the show tonight if anyone needs one.  I hope they played Faded.  Damn that song kills me.
Yet another band I never understood the appeal of.
Oh, another guy in a black t-shirt  who can't sing playing dated middling alt-rock. Got it.  ;)
