Roll Call: Jane's Addiction tomorrow night

So excited for a show like this at the 9:30 Club.  Who else will be out and about?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wboZXT8N7-g
I'll be there!
there is the weekly roll call for posts like these
i really hope the show is a good one for you guys/girls.  when i saw the annoucement of it, i almost bought.  but i feel the group is not the representation of when i worshipped them.  i don't care if eric is there or not.  he a fucking bass player.  bass players and drummers are the revolving doors of bands.  as long as the music is tight and the show is off the hook.  people still stay off the hook don't they?  i remember my first ja show.  fairfax lollapalooza . . . the curtains open, perry on stilts, a boy my age realizing that live music officially changed that day.
I also hope it's great!  If it's anything like the Terminal 5 show they just played on Palladium, it will be good!
I think big shows deserve their own Roll Call thread…

I'm sorry I'll miss this one and have a few friends going but I don't have the bread and am sort of winding down the year on a very mellow note.
if you would stop buying so many cds and lps . . . then you'd have more money.  :D
The Baltimore show was great. Mostly
Old stuff. Couldn't justify paying $70 to see them again at the club tho
See y'all there.  Depending on whether or not Kim is well enough to come to the show with me, I may have an extra ticket.
I'm with Walky on this one. Tho I think Eric's absence plays a part in why I do not worship them as I once did.

Hope its a good one nonetheless.
Hope it won't be totally packed tomorrow, probably have to get there halfway thru the opener to get a decent spot..  Anybody know the set times?  PS - First time I saw them was at Ritchie Coliseum at UMD, certainly won't be like that show.  They were good in Bmore a few months ago.
there
Saying you hope it won't be packed at a sold out show is kinda pointless :)

I don't think you could swap out Steve Perkins on the skins for just anyone. A bass player is a little bit different…except when it comes to writing new material then yes, there needs to be some bonding/chemistry going on and not any session guy will do.

Some shows have smaller people.
do you really think a certain artist draws certain size people?  that would be weird.  when i see jam bands there are a lot of fatter guys (belly wise) than most other shows i go to.  there were more shorter people at dead milkmen than i seem to remember at other shows.  omg . . . you're onto something.
Yes -  having DJed a couple sold out Hanson shows, i can tell you that from the DJ booth one can actually see areas of the floor in the back.  Hanson's appeal being primarily female of course
so do you think there will be more "heroin chic super kate moss skinny" folks at tonight's show?  that's the kind of crowd i'd expect at janes addiction.  people who only drink and don't eat food.  they could sell more tickets.

well i doubt shows where the band is 20+ years past their prime are going to have smaller people.
Could have something to do with comp tickets or if the band has the balcony roped off or something.  Or maybe just large people in big jackets.  :)
