Friends with Benefits

See, now these are some damn cupcakes. Modest cakey stump, frosting spread generously, lavishly over the entire cap (except those rose ones, of which I am suspect), and delightful flair dispersed across the frosting. They look delicious; they are delicious. USA!

This new trend of fist-sized cakey stump with a bouffant beehive of fancy-pantsy icing dolloped on top like a mexican-dinner crap in an outhouse is just so tired.

Thanks!  The rose ones are just me seeing if I could make an icing rose.  I don't believe in icing applied inappropriately!

they are a perfect serving of cake.  I have loved them since I was little.  Those georgetown bitches are annoying, but their cupcakes are pretty good.

This is true. My cupcakes don't bring all the boys to the yard and they're like, it's not better than yours. And really, what am I supposed to say to that?
My cupcakes do :)
If I found a place that served delicious cupcakes and boozy milkshakes, I would probably never leave.

That's a great idea.
They sell booze milkshakes at Ted's Bulletin, a restaurant on 8th Street SE. They also have their own brand of pop-tarts, which are incredible. Not sure if they are boozy or not, I suspect not.

Yeah, they have boozy milkshakes at Satellite, too.  They're all the rage with the kids these days.

I sure hope not, because my daughter loves them pop tarts.
Got my card in the mail last night…new batch must be in.
yeah, got my card yesterday as well
still waiting for my shirt and card, etc. in the mail. signed up on Jan 7. I'll talk to someone about it at the Rufus show tonight. My bday was on Jan 29, so hopefully I can get that cupcake tonight, too.

Question though: has anyone utilized the VIP offering for people in FWB yet? I was notified about it for tonight's show, and was hoping to get some details, like what time does my sweet VIP upgrade end tonight? I might not make it until the beginning of Martha's set.
Got my card over the weekend. Pretty stoked.
