Wow that sucks.  Why did they sign Flacco to that huge contract if he isn't going to have anyone to throw to? Ellerbe isn't worth the money he will get.  And trading bolding for a sixth round pick is a kick in the groin to him.  They should have just released him. 

They had no alternative.  They had to give Flacco the money or find a new QB.  Plus he only counts $6.8M against the cap this year.  Boldin was going to be a cap hit of over $7.5M.  If they release him they get nothing, so a 6th rounder is at least something.  That's life in the salary-capped NFL. 

Ed reed is next.  He hired an agent.  Not looking good for the ravens next year.

Ed Reed is far from the player he used to be.  Hope he stays.  But I think it's a little too early to write them off for next year.  How many players signed elsewhere last year?  And look what the outcome was. 

Kruger is next.  5 years 40 million.  Not bad for a guy who only plays on passing downs. 

Ellerbe gone to Miami.  I don't know why they didn't keep Boldin. they had the money.
