tip number one from my new thread

when storing pot . . . never ever use large glass jars.  use smaller jars that do not allow any "empty space" between lid and pot.  this will cause mold to set in and start.  stopping mold is one of the biggest problems to storing pot.  like beer, do not expose to light, and make sure your lids caps are not dirty or worn around the inside ring.  the last thing you want is a breathable storage container, which will dry it out.

He left the board once but came back once his mood passed him by. Think he started a new account but I don't know which is which. Maybe Kosmo somehow merged them or reopened the old one. Only the Mod Kos knows.

ah yes . . . now i remember.  i got pissed at something (really, little ole me?) and left here then came back under the moniker "i am gay and i like cats" then changed it back to walkonby.

woohoo, i'm in!  i have a brand-new 15 gallon kettle (still waiting for the fittings), and will be getting another one soon.  i have an older 9-gallon, my main brewing vessel.  and just this morning i picked up a 3-gallon kettle from someone's recycling while out walking the dog.  gonna use it to pre-heat sparge water on brew day.
