Twitter

We did this a awhile back, but if anyone wants to be more "social" with me… I tweet generally dull stuff here

feel free to unfollow me instantly.

I will warn you that I almost only tweet about the Baltimore Orioles…
no point in posting my twitter… i rarely if ever post.  about half of my annual posts come after someone finds me and follows me, at which point i tell myself "ah sh*t, someone is listening, better say something good/funny".  so i try, and then resume radio silence.  twitter just isn't a medium that got traction with me.

i think i use twitter the most at freefest.
What the hell is this twitter anyway?

A sex toy that the kids are using these days.
it's a way to follow celebrities and washed up UK bands and feel special about oneself in the process.

Me, neither.  Love twitter but I have no one to tweet to so I don't bother.

Used it a lot for SXSW but otherwise it's just a once-a-day type of thing.

Same here… I scroll through it about twice a day but rarely post.
is twitter better than facebook?  i never bothered with it, and found it . . . too much information.

Both have their place… however, I rarely use FB these days. I find twitter good for finding out up to date info on bands, restaurants, bars, news, etc.

FB to me feels like Myspace did in 05' or so.
It is what you make of it.

You could follow super informative people and get a lot out of it or you could follow someone like me who has been incessantly RTing hilarious (IMO) yet cruel Margaret Thatcher jokes.
Without the addition of lists I would have reduced my twitter usage to Facebook levels which, is fairly low these days.

However, with the ability to have multiple lists (Work, comedy, Baseball, Tech, Football, Friends, etc) I use twitter all day long -  I just choose which lists I visit depending on the time/circumstance of the day.

I used to RT all kinds of music junk and when I would get to a computer download/listen/stream what I RTd, then I learned about the "favorite" button. Now I just post stupid thoughts and tweet about sports.

infrequent tweets about music and baseball, and maybe some beer thrown in for good measure.
