wow, what a flashback.  this show was produced in my hometown (or close enough), i knew one of the actors on YCDTOTV.
Truth: "[A] rock life spent ignoring Big Star and Pere Ubu and listening to The Beatles and the Stones loads of times over and over is a blinkered and diminished one."

The above is from this pretty good essay: Rock Of Ages: Mick Jagger At 70 & The Rise Of Pop's Elders.

And I have no idea what the show is.
I wondered about those accents for years as a kid. Then I found out it was produced in Canada.
Alanis Morrisette was on it for a bit.

i remember seeing star wars on the opening day with my family, and it was my brother's birthday.  i think i was four or five or something.  we went to mcdonalds afterward and i had lightsaber battles with other kids that had seen the movie, with french fries throughout the restaurant.  bliss.  pure bliss.
I remember watching John Kennedy saluted his father's casket as it passed by on its way to Arlington Cemetery.  Back then I thought it odd.
are you the real ratbastard?
I like how walky gets excited when random people post.
im trying to figure out who my fav randomite is.  i think it is nkotb.
This is the real Rat Bastard.
I think it is safe to say he lies slightly to the left of ours.

I remember when Carson Daly was just a late night shift DJ at KROQ in LA.
I first heard of him when he took over MTV's summer daytime programming. Think they were still airing videos regularly.
Michael Stipe makes me feel old.

Here is a photo of him around the time when I first saw him perform live:

Here is a recent photo:

Yup, people age over several decades, it's true.
I'm old enough to once have foolishly thought that Magic Hat made good beer.
michael stipe then -  looks like a stoner loser who is a roadie for the grateful dead or phish.

michael stipe now -  fucking hot and older hot and style hot and serious hot and established hot and manly hot and cool glasses hot and knows what to do with that cock hot.
I watched this all the time in first grade…
