What are you reading

So I am currently reading David Eggers "What Is the What: The Autobiography of Valentino Achak Deng".  I  am 115 pages in and it is very interesting.  I don't get the whole why this is a novel by Eggers as it is an Achak Deng's story as child during the Sudanese Civil War.  But it is definitely worth a read.
I  am debating between three books for my vacation to Bethany Beach next week: the sixth Dexter book, Game of Thrones, or Chuck P's Damned.
?uestlove's memoir "mo' meta blues" is impossible to put down - roller skating w/prince, producing al green, can't give too much away.

Started clive davis' bio but it's due tomorrow.
please kill me

A Time Out and Daily News Top Ten Book of the Year upon its initial release, Please Kill Me is the first oral history of the most nihilist of all pop movements. Iggy Pop, Danny Fields, Dee Dee and Joey Ramone, Malcom McLaren, Jim Carroll, and scores of other famous and infamous punk figures lend their voices to this definitive account of that outrageous, explosive era. From its origins in the twilight years of Andy Warhol?s New York reign to its last gasps as eighties corporate rock, the phenomenon known as punk is scrutinized, eulogized, and idealized by the people who were there and who made it happen.

One of my favorite books….in fact I think I still owe Hutch his copy back  :-\
Life After Life by Kate Atkinson.

I got sucked into the Fifth Wave at the beach.  Decent YA dystopia read.

The 6th GoT book is really good.  My second favorite after the 3rd one!

I just thought it had the suspense and plot developments on par with the third book.  I had alot of trouble with the fourth book.

We're talking about the 5th book here…the 6th book isn't out yet.

I meant for the A Song of Ice and Fire books, but thanks.
In my teens, 20's and 30's it was pretty much all fiction. Now it's mostly non-fiction. Mostly books I gedt for $10 a box at the library book sale clearance. Currently reading Home and Away by Scott Simon.
Have you read The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks and/or The Lost City of Z?  Both good.
It's always been non-fiction for me, but I've been told that I have to turn it off on my next vacation.  So I'm thinking of reading:

The Love Affairs of Nathaniel P. By Adelle Waldman

Sorry.  That was probably my favorite post of all time on this board, which I think was before your time (though perhaps you were a lurker).

Back in 05 or 06, we had a high school kid named flawd101 on the board who was nothing short of naive and AWESOME.  In the original, now defunct "What are you reading thread?" the Harry Potter book had just come out and flawd posted:

A lot of people hadn't finished it yet.  And I thought it was awesome.

Great and I haven't read any of the Potter books yet.  THanks flawd101.
