We're lucky enough to have the weekend between xmas and new years off with pay every year. But someone in each department has to be here to answer phones and put out any fires that may come up. I volunteered so that I can use the vacation days at a later time.

I only got Christmas day off. Had a half day on Christmas Eve. It's slow and cold as hell in the office.

I am hard at work today. Was on a network without internet for several hours today. My job isn't so bad so I guess I shouldn't complain. I would prefer to be the only one in the office but my intern is here (he get no paid vacation) and someone else is working remotely.

i took yesterday off to brew beer. it was a last-minute decision. i was dressed in work clothes (slacks, dress shirt), all ready to head to the office when decided that i didn't need to go in. so i didn't. ended up brewing in my work clothes which was a bit silly. i had a turkey sandwich for lunch.
in the office today. gotta agree with ggw - great time to catch up on stuff you've fallen behind on. i think there are 3 or 4 people, out of 30, on my floor today. i suspect there were about as many yesterday.
