One of the bands I ALWAYS wanted to see but kept missing. Wish I had caught them with Lush.
sadly, as we can see from this thread…there is little interest…
I would go see Ride.
I would see ride too…but a thread will surely not make them come…
It wont help?  Damn, I guess I shouldnt go make the Chapterhouse and Curve threads that I was about to go type…
I don't know…if this thread takes over the forum I bet it will heighten Seth's interest….
I would love to see them. but i'll probably wait a more official reunion announcement to get excited.

Loved that Curve show in like 1998…wasn't it during their "reunion"? The craziest thing happened during "Die Like a Dog". I broke up a really violent fight between 2 girls. Clumps of hair were on the floor, blood was flying everywhere. Great show though.
I would love a Ride reunion the way next year the way I loved the Slowdive one this year…

I don't know if you remember, but it was at a Death Cab for Cutie/Cold War Kids show that I sold you my extra ticket to; where you told me about Curve, Ride, Chapterhouse, and a few more of the older shoegaze bands and what releases to check out.  It was when I first was getting into the genre, but was mostly focusing on the newer bands that were touring (stuff like Screen Vinyl Image, Amusement Parks on Fire, SPC ECO).

I think Curve was my favorite of all of the ones that we talked about that day (I took notes and went home and got a bunch of the releases that you recommended).

Edited because I originally said DCFC and Franz Ferdinand, which I did go to at DAR, but in 2006 and not with you.  The one I went to with you had to have been this show in 2009:

My sources are telling me the Ride reunion is confirmed for next year….

Also, I'm hearing about Lush……. Let me know if you want me to start a separate Lush thread…

Ah yes, I totally remember now! I LOVE Curve. The EP compilation "Pubic Fruit" is probably my favorite. Every song on there is great. I'm glad that you like them…I got to see them a couple of times. First time was in 1993 with the Jesus and Mary Chain and Spiritualized. Curve was one of those bands that I think deserved more respect…Garbage is basically a shiny pop version of what Curve was doing.
What the sources about these 2 bands?

Are we going to see a lineup with Lush + Ride + Slowdive next year?
All this Ride talk has me listening to Nowhere now…
great..just great.. a NYC date but nothing in DC

Forum party van anyone?
